ABSTRACT

This study intends to investigate how children express their singularity in the texts they produce at school. The written productions were collected in a classroom of second grade of elementary school in a municipal school in Araraquara. For data analysis, we set the theoretical framework that is based on Bakhtin and the Circle (1992, 1997), in particular, notions such as the subject - believing that the subjectivity is constituted in relation to language, society and the other - ; dialogism, understood as the interactions established between the discourses of the subject; otherness, as we understand like the other´s speech and the social voices with which the subject comes into contact in their daily lives, and genres, understood as a some stability in the chain of utterances arising out of actual communicative practices undertaken by individuals who engage in certain spheres of activity. In our case, we focus on the school gender, as we shall see, this gender is a variation of origin. For the identification of individuals data on texts of children, we show a historical route of singular data, based on the Ginzburg (1999), and look at the data with a focus on single act and otherness, especially in the use of “contrapalavra” (Geraldi 2010 and Bakhtin, 1992). The results show that the uniqueness of the learner can be seen in how he performs choices to fill certain gender characteristics, in our case, the narrative and the way he incorporates axiological discourses of otherness.
